Can a golf glove give you the perfect
grip?
Tens of thousands of golfers from around the world
try each day to get the perfect grip, and it is a known fact that
getting the perfect grip is one of the most difficult things you
can ever do in this amazing sport. Coaches at your club will tell
you all about the different popular golfing grips - from the interlocking
grip to the ten finger grip - but when we try it out, we realize
that the grip doesn't exactly suit our playing style.
There is a lot of talk going on in golf clubs
about golf gloves giving players the perfect grip, and there is
a lot of truth in that line of thought.
Modern golf gloves are not like the ones of the
older days, which were just cloth coverings that acted more as a
protective shield over the hand rather than as a training aid for
improvement of the game. Within no time those gloves used to get
worn out, and then they started causing problems to the game play
by obstructing the free flow of the golf club in the hand, and changing
the angle while swinging.
Modern golf gloves, however, are very much the
game changers they are touted to be, and the reason why they are
so is because they have been made after a lot of scientific research
done on thousands of players from around the world. Getting the
perfect grip could be as simple as donning a golf glove on your
lead hand!
Modern golf gloves go beyond the basic premise
of gripping the club tight without slippage, and of protecting the
hands from friction during a long game. They tell the players where
the club head should rest, and they even guide the players while
putting - by marking the right position of the putter on the glove!
If you have played golf, you will agree that the
position of the golf club in the players' hands is the single most
important factor for flow of power into the shot. It is also the
most important factor while playing gently and getting the ball
to roll into a particular angle into a particular direction. These
golf gloves have bars made on to the palm area of the glove which
demarcate where the club needs to rest for maximum power, and also
for maximum control. While going in for the long range shots, you
will want to strike with precision and with maximum power. While
putting on the green, you will want to have maximum control over
the shot, and the position will naturally be different.
In the modern golf gloves, there is also a locking
mechanism which can be strapped with the given Velcro, so that the
club does not move once it is in the position where you want it
to be.
Though simple, this is certainly one of the most
path breaking innovations in the field of golf accessories in the
recent past.
If you are a golfer striving for the perfect grip,
try out a good golf glove. It might get you the perfect grip you've
been striving for!
